Jak’s Profile
I live in a small town in Michigan. I have three grown sons and only one lives close, about 2 hrs away. My 5 grandkids live out of state so I don’t get to see them often. I do have other family that lives here. This is where I grew up so when I got a divorce several years ago I moved back here and finished raising the boys here as a single mom.
I think I started with Fibro when I was in my early 30’s. I remember of just aching all over 24/7 for 3 or 4 months and had no idea what it was and until I started seeking medical help 5 yrs ago due to so much pain in my lower back, hips, legs etc and was referred to a specialist for steroid injections for the Chronic SI joint pain. I then was DX’d with Fibro, Chronic Myofascial Pain, Chronic SI joint Inflammation and Post Polio Syndrome. My belief is that in my case the bout I had with polio may be at the root of this. I have read in several places that anyone who had polio that it was very common for them to develop Fibro and that PPS symptoms are very similar to the symptoms of the fatigue of CFS.
I worked at a credit union for over 22 yrs and then by the grace of God I was able to retire early. Now I live alone with my small dog, Sachi, and it is so nice not to have all the job stress and to put on the “I feel fine act.”
I love to do putsy stuff around the house. I’m always finding ways to improvise and make things fit in with the rest of the deco. I sew and have done some painting ceramics, I like to listen to classical crossover music. I’ve always called myself a wannabe artist and would love to be able to paint. Right now I’m considering taking a wat ercolor class I found on the net. I Spend a fair amount of time surfing the net or playing a few games. I baby sit my 2 great nieces part time. Other than that for the most part my life is pretty quiet and low key.

Hi Jak,
Well it sounds like you have had a very busy life so far. What type of ceramics do you enjoy painting dishies, figures, vases there are so many varieties. Do you have good control over your FM so that it doesn’t get in the way when you are being creative. I have read many of your threads and hope one day to meet you in chat.
