Yes, Doxie's are the best! Katie is the first small dog that I've ever had and we just love her to pieces. She has DH wrapped around her little paw - he makes sure she has her "bacon" strip treats and a can of "wet food", which he doles out to her sparingly, plus when he takes her for a walk she gets the whole extension
of the lead, eats tiny bites of cheese that he tosses to her when he has cheese and wine in the evening. It is absolutely ridiculous! Spoiled brat !
If I knew how to get a picture on the site, I'd send you one. How do you do this (in plain English - my sons say I'm a "technical retard")?
I love animals, too. Growing up we had all kinds, cats, dogs, birds, turtles,fish, horses, etc. DH wants a cat like one we each used to have when we didn't even know each other - it was the period when the Siamese and Himalayan breeders were cooperating with one another trying to come up with a medium hair. I figure, one day... He keeps talking about getting a "spare" dog due to Katie just turning 10. She's one of a kind with such a great personality. When we were in MD she just loved the neighbors two doors down and when I'd go get the mail at the cluster boxes by their house and I'd turn around to go back to our house she'd run up the neighbors steps for me to let her in to visit!! When she was ready to come home she'd sit by their front door and they'd walk her back to our house and open our door for her to come in! Last summer when I sold my house there, all anyone wanted to know was if Katie was coming with me (so much for me )! You're right, they are like people in Doxie bodies!
