Post Wavy nails
I was wondering if anyone has experienced wavy nails. I noticed them little by little....Suddenly they are deeper..waves..kind of difficult to describe.. they are Right to left..not up and down.. I know some other sites say it could be vitamins..or other health issues..I just wondered if anyone out there was familiar..

Lori

Hey Lori,
Yes I have the wavy nails and someone also told me I was missing something. Zinc, I think. Hey, if it doesn't hurt, not gonna worry. LOL I'm a solid bag of pain today and still can't sit still.

This is what i love about this site I notice something about my self that keeps catching my eye and making me wonder :shrug Then the next time i turn to the forums the answer,s there and i never even asked about it :lol3 :lol3 Thank you

It was the vertical ridges on my nails i,ve always had them but as i,ve got older they have become rather deep and thick  They feel strange when i rub a finger across them :shrug I had started to wonder if i was lacking in some vits because as i say they are so noticeable these days :shrug

But once again you have got rid of another worry :thumbsup
It,s just weird how you know what i,m thinking :lol3 :lol3 :lol3
Going to have to think only nice thoughts from now on loll loll loll

Love Mo *rows*

Thank you so much for all that useful information...I agree anytime you have a question..some on here is great at helping you find the answers.

I have psoriasis and I take beta blockers, both which may be a part of the wavy nail situation. My fingers break out so bad, I have people ask my why my fingers tips are all peeling (all the way down to first fold) so that with the wavy nails...not great..and I have talked with the doctor..and oddly enough when I have sinus / allergy infections he gives me Medro pack steroids that clear it all up..he says impossible..but everytime I am sick with infection, this is given it is gone..so not sure what to say...he says impossible..hmmm
The wavy nails I guess are now a part of my lucky world..oh well..at least they dont hurt..like psoriasis does..and this dd.

Hi Alias,

It is possible that your peeling fingers are a form of excema. I have fingers that peel and crack (especially in the winter) and have been told it is a form of excema. One of the treatments for excema is steroids, I believe, soooo it makes sense that the steroids work on your fingers. You may want to talk to a dermatologist about it as a internist would not neccissarily be aware of that.
